Anyone asking this question deserves a real answer rather than a pitch. So here is an attempt at one, including the parts that argue against booking.
PRF is not cheap, it is not instant, and it is not right for every concern. It is also the treatment our clients come back for, and there are specific reasons why. Both of those things are true.
What you are actually buying
A PRF treatment is a series, not an appointment. That framing changes the arithmetic more than anything else in this article.
For PRF microneedling, most clients do 3 to 4 sessions spaced a few weeks apart. For PRF injections, it is typically 2 to 3 sessions, with results showing in the 2 to 4 week range. When you are weighing cost, the honest comparison is the full course against whatever you are comparing it to, not one session against a single purchase.
We do not publish prices, because what you need depends on your skin and your goals and quoting a number before we have seen your face would be a guess. Call the office and we will talk about it plainly.
The time cost, which people underestimate
A PRF injection, bio filler or facial appointment runs 45 to 60 minutes. PRF microneedling adds numbing time up front, and then mild redness for 24 to 48 hours afterward.
Multiply that across a series and add the drive to 7493 N Oracle Rd #105. Our hours are Tuesday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM and Friday from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and we are closed Saturday through Monday, which means the appointments come out of your work week. For some people that is the real obstacle, not the price.
Reasons PRF may not be for you
A few honest disqualifiers:
- You want a result this weekend. PRF builds over weeks. If your event is close, the timing does not work.
- You will not commit to the series. One session out of four will not give you what the series would, and you will conclude the treatment does not work when what actually happened is that it was not finished.
- You strongly dislike needles or blood draws. The draw is unavoidable, since PRF is made from your blood. Clients tell us it is easier than they expected, but it is a real part of the treatment.
- Your concern is muscle movement, not skin quality. Lines from expression are a different problem, and that conversation belongs on the Botox page.
- You want a promise. Nobody can guarantee a result on your skin, and anyone who does is selling.
Reasons people decide it is worth it
The most common one, by a wide margin, is the source material. PRF comes from your own blood. Small draw, centrifuge, no additives, no anticoagulants. For clients who are uneasy about synthetic products in their face, that fact settles the question on its own.
The second is what happens over time. Because the fibrin scaffold releases growth factors slowly, the treatment supports your skin's own collagen building rather than substituting for it. The result develops rather than arriving. That is a drawback if you are impatient and an advantage if you are not.
The third is what clients report. Carla Noriega, after PRF microneedling: "My face feels much smoother and I noticed a huge improvement on my under-eye wrinkles and forehead." Cristobal Mireles, who researched the treatment before booking: "I was able to see an improvement on my skin and acne after the first visit! Have gotten several compliments on how I'm 'glowing' now."
The Tucson factor
Our dry climate works against skin continuously. Moisture leaves faster than it does almost anywhere else in the country, and the visible results are dullness, rough texture and fine lines that show more than they should. Treatments aimed at hydration and texture carry more weight here than in a humid climate, which is worth including in your assessment of whether the spend makes sense.
How to decide without guessing
Book the consultation. It is required before treatment here anyway, and it is the only step that replaces speculation with information about your actual skin.
Stephanie, our provider, is a registered dental hygienist with an AAS in Dental Hygiene from Pima Community College, 2009, and a BAS in Dental Hygiene from Northern Arizona University, 2011. She began PRF facial esthetics training through the CARE program in 2024. Clients consistently describe the explaining as much as the treatment. In A Martinez's words: "She made sure I was comfortable and she took the time to explain every step."
Ask what she would expect for your skin, how many sessions, and what the cost of that plan comes to. Then decide with numbers in front of you instead of a blog post.
If you want to compare the options first, the PRF vs PRP page covers the material itself, and PRF microneedling covers the most commonly asked-about treatment.
