First appointments come with a particular kind of nervousness. Not fear exactly, more the discomfort of not knowing what the room looks like or what will be asked of you. This is a walk through the whole thing, so you arrive knowing the shape of the visit.
It starts with a consultation, always
We do not book a PRF treatment for someone we have not evaluated. There is no upsell purpose to that policy. Different concerns call for different treatments, some skin is better served by a different approach entirely, and the only way to know is to look.
So your first visit may be a conversation rather than a procedure. Come with the question you actually want answered, even if it is vague. "My skin looks tired and I do not know why" is a perfectly good starting point.
There will be a blood draw
This surprises people who have not read carefully, so it is worth repeating. PRF is made from your own blood. A small sample is drawn, spun in a centrifuge, and separated into layers. The platelet rich fibrin layer is what gets used. No additives. No anticoagulants. That absence is the point, because it lets the fibrin form a natural scaffold that releases growth factors slowly.
As with any blood draw, it helps to arrive hydrated and to have eaten something beforehand. Our dry air means most people here are running a little short on water without realizing it, so drink more the day before and the morning of.
What to bring and what to leave at home
- Bring a list of medications and supplements. Everything, including the over-the-counter items you would not think to mention. Your provider needs the full picture.
- Bring your questions written down. People forget them in the chair. It happens every time.
- Skip the makeup if you can, or expect to remove it.
- Bring a hat and sunglasses. You will be walking back out into Tucson sun with treated skin.
Plan your day around the appointment
Timing depends on what you are having done. PRF injections, bio filler and the PRF facial each run 45 to 60 minutes. Exosome therapy with microneedling is about an hour. Botox, which is administered by licensed injectors here, is the quick one at 15 to 30 minutes.
For PRF microneedling, factor in numbing time at the front of the visit and mild redness for roughly 24 to 48 hours after. It looks like light sun exposure. Most people are comfortable running errands, and most people would rather not walk into a board meeting. Book accordingly.
Our hours are Tuesday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM and Friday from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, closed Saturday through Monday. A morning slot on a day with nothing social afterward is the easy choice for a first visit.
Finding us
We are at 7493 N Oracle Rd #105, on the Oracle Road corridor just south of Ina Road in the Casas Adobes area of northwest Tucson. Suite 105. Give yourself a few extra minutes the first time, since Oracle traffic is unpredictable in the morning.
Good questions to ask while you are here
- Which treatment fits my concern, and why that one over the alternatives?
- How many sessions are you expecting for me, and spaced how far apart?
- What should I realistically expect to see, and when?
- What should I do differently in the days after treatment?
- What would make you tell me this is not the right treatment for me?
That last one is worth asking anywhere you consider treatment. A provider who has no answer is telling you something.
Who you will be working with
Stephanie is our provider. She is a registered dental hygienist, with an AAS in Dental Hygiene from Pima Community College earned in 2009 and a BAS in Dental Hygiene from Northern Arizona University earned in 2011. She began PRF facial esthetics training through the CARE program in 2024.
If comfort during the appointment is what you are worried about, the reviews address it more directly than we can. Carla Noriega: "I was a little scared, but Stephanie made sure I was comfortable and explained everything. I didn't feel anything, the whole process was smooth and comfortable." A Martinez: "She's got such a light hand." Cristobal Mireles, who researched the treatment thoroughly before booking, called her "very knowledgeable and skilled."

One last thing
Say something if you are nervous. It is not a confession, it is useful information, and it changes how the appointment is paced. Nearly everyone in that chair was nervous the first time.
